I never rode this train with Amfleet cars, but rode it annually with the Superliner/El Cap lounge/cafe car. The move via Fullerton definitely was a plus.

The one thing I didn’t like was the morning WB departure from Las Vegas…. Boy that platform could be very cold in the morning.

One trip, the train was oversold and we were seated in the El Cap lounge car from Vegas back to Fullerton, before you think that was awesome, remember this cars had hard fiberglass booth seating and no ass padding!

As far as the Vegas traffic, you could definitely tell which car the Vegas traffic was seated in, as you passed through the morgue cars (the rest of the consist.)

Miss that train!
