A bit of steam from the East (the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad)

I visited the New Hope and Ivyland Railroad the other Sunday, boarding ticket in my pocket and spent the day instead, camera in hand, chasing and shooting #40, a former Lancaster and Chester owned 2-8-0 engine. Incidentally, the L&C still exists and hauls freight in South Carolina. Back to New Hope, this was one of those rare days when every location just seemed to work, doubling my collection of sunny day New Hope images. Switching to full manual mode is a must to shoot this line at this time of the year and the results were nice dark rich colors. Hope you enjoy!
