I am a happy reader of TO, Altamont, and several other boards, and thank Dave and the various other sponsors for making this kind of discussion possible. I have also been a moderator of a couple of boards, and would have to say that moderatoring is the most thankless job in the world, no matter how fair minded and even handed you try to be....you never can please all the people all the time, and those who you make unhappy tend to be LOUD. It's amazing how overly sensitive some folks are to having anything they post modified or deleted, no matter how outrageous. Even when the moderator things he's saving them from embarrassment. But c'est la vie.

Net net, Altamont seems to work. So far. Because most of the contributors seem to be resonsible people, and for the most part there is interesting stuff posted here by knowledgeable folks. But I am glad Dave hopefully resolved the NWP blip. But any site that allows anonymity is going to have it bad days....it is the nature of freedom without responsibility.
