There are some people who avoid Altamont Press' discussion board due to the stupid postings made by one or more people. Maybe Dave's recent clean up has eliminated the problem posters. I hope so.

Both Altamont and T.O. are very worthwhile sites. Trainorders charges a small fee; not a big deal when you consider the advantages.

Altamont should not be considered a freebie. The purpose here is to sell timetables. If you don't purchase the products, you're free loading. The timetables are first rate typographically and quite accurate. The tradition of Rob Carlson is being carried on to the benefit of the railfan community. So, update your timetable collection now and then. It's worth doing for several reasons.
