First of all, don't believe any weather forecast more than 3 days in advance, at least not in the Pacific NorthWET. Before then, it's still very much an educated guess. "Partly cloudy with a chance of rain, highs in the mid 70's, lows in the mid 50's" will be right more often than not.
Secondly, realize that's the forecast for Portland. The weather in the Gorge changes at Hood River. 4449 has been photographed between Portland and Wishram many times before. In fact, if we'd all used Kodachrome for those shots, Kodak might still be making it.
So, skip the rainy, cloudy and over-exposed part of the trip. Head east to Pasco and beyond, for dry weather and new scenery. Catch her in territory she rarely visits, and get some new photos for a change!
