I have a suspicion that Mook is referring to Siemens lrv's, which I found both in Sac and San Diego to be rather rough riding and oscillating as described. My impression of the Breda's in San Francisco is that they didn't bounce around so much. Could be they are moving slower but as I recall they do pretty well on the San Jose Ave. ROW on the J line.
