But I do believe it is a bit much to expect of the average Joe, without that economics degree, to clearly understand the deep technical details of the latest mortgage/loan scam he is being sold. That he was being taken for a fool was probably not apparent to him. Would he have signed on, knowing he was thought a fool? I don't think so.

Even though he couldn't see how himself, he probably thought it would work out anyway, based on the assurance of the perp (I mean expert - err, a, salesman). Afterall, what does he know; as who in their right mind would make a loan to anyone who probably won't be able to pay it back!

Of course, We All know better - now!

They were of course, giving away everybody else's money - none of their own. So Ya! Jail is quite appropriate for high Fallutin' con men, just the same as any other con man.

If we don't have enough jails, then let 'em pitch tents on San Clementi Island or somewhere, and eat grubbs for dinner. We can then allow them to steal from each other - a fitting punishment!
