Based on info that I have received, Amtrak is having to temporarily base maintenance in the Roseville area as UP refuses to service the passenger equipment. This spur on the former air force base is used from time to time by the American Orient Express set for more or less the same purpose. Food can be delivered anywhere. It is my understanding that buses are being used between Oakland and Roseville. Please correct me if this is not true.
