It appears that $35 million in stimulus funds will be used to purchase the Washington DOT owned Talgo equipment currently being used to provide service between Portland and Eugene. Thus ensuring continued Amtrak Cascades service in Oregon. Historically Oregon hasn't invested much money in the Cascades equipment ownership.
