The APS spur here in Surprise gets transformers on quad truck flats all the time and I'm sure
they're in the 400,000 pound range. I seem to remember that the East Troy Municipal Railroad
which is actually a museum road has a customer who ships like 732,000# loads on a special flat
that will run on fairly light rail. It's all in the axle loading.
