There's an earlier thread on the 40 at NN that has a LOT of information and background from a lot of different people. Recommended reading for anyone coming into the subject late. This engine has been beset by many mechanical issues, both anticipated and unforseen, and the NN has had some challenging "people" issues as well. It is a great credit to the dedication of the workers that they have stayed focused on solving each of the operational issues to keep this national treasure alive.
