The Switcher made its usual run to Plummer on Monday. STMA had a huge surplus of logs flats. Even when they were running log shipments full tilt out of Clarkia, you'd have several long cuts of loads parked at the west end of the St. Maries yard, plus empties stored at Clarkia, Mashburn, Ramsdell, and elsewhere. They could quit the scrapping process halfway through and still have a workable log-haul railroad, but nobody is saying if that's what the future holds.
