Amtrak study of North Coast Hiawatha

Here's a link to the Amtrak study of resumption of service of the North Coast Hiawatha. The cost estimate is just over one billion dollars. The freight railroads may have gold-plated their needs to resume service (double track, 90k for new speed signs in ND etc.) but that is subject to negotiation by Amtrak. Timeline is 60 months after funding is approved.
Train will run via Pasco to Seattle thus giving Spokane--Pasco four daily trains on similar schedules.
