Small correction on the date of the "Last" regularly scheduled steam run on the GTW. It was Sunday March 27, 1960. My father and I were at Durand to see and photo both sections. It was a cool day in temerature and activity.

Morning Sun Books "Grand Trunk Western in Color Vol.1: Steam & Green 1941 - 1961" states that the GTW 4-8-4 made an unannounced run on train 56 on September 20, 1960. That was one day before the flue time expired on the 6323.
