As you point out, bad service is a good way to lose business. Gallo regularly ships large amounts of wine to NJ in insulated cars. If the wine is properly packaged a 5 mile-hour collision won't damage anything. Perhaps careful packaging is something they can do when they load the cars down in Mexico [don't count on it].
