I just phoned a friend and the 539 is for sale. It'd be a big expenditure for whoever purchased it, but if you had the profile to justify something this large, and the SLRG certainly does, then you might end up with a pretty nice locomotive. Let's all hope (for a number of reasons) that the economy comes back strong.
Another nice thing about her is the 63" drivers which would cut down some on wear over a round trip of that length. As a comparison, she has the same size drivers as 2-6-0 1744, but almost twice the power.
