Thanks for all your feedback.

I am not being critical of any decisions made by prior management because I don't know all the factors that went into them. I'm sure their intentions were and are still good. "Management" and volunteers deserve a lot of credit for rescuing the 2472 and other equipment that might otherwise have been scrapped by now. I am not trying to evoke other criticisms of current management.

They need to do a better job of maintaining an up to date website and communicating their goals and successes in order to attract new volunteers and money.

I understand that negotiations are often kept confidential until a firm agreement is reached, but they should also be more upfront about progress on achieving previously stated goals
Even if they were much a much better organized and wealthier group they probably still would have had to leave because of the toxic clean up, and it looks like the city would rather have the site for a football stadium so they could have still lost the location.

My point is that there are a lot of well intentioned groups like the PLA, Western Railway Museum, the one in Portola, Market Street Railway and others competing for a limited number of dollars.

I am too far away and not in good enough health to do volunteer work, and not in good enough financial shape to contribuute much. Also I don't know who Vikki Liviakis is.
