You mean that you would take the word of one "self righteous Railfan Celebrity", over another, just because it was first posted on T.O.
And the blind shall lead the blind! It sometimes makes me laugh, how y'all can believe unverified reports without valid sources, and to then get all stirred up; especially over old issues that keep re-surfacing year after year, crying wolf, as it were.
Even more laughable is the B.S. itself. No one got out of bed on the wrong side; but it can be an unpleasant realization, that what was once one of the better websites (Altamont Press) is beginning to degenerate into just another railfan rumor rag.
Naturally, when and if the wolf ever does come, no one will ever believe it anyway until it is done. So why should you, or anyone else, believe anything posted on a rumor rag like T.O. (and maybe even Altamont if you get your way), until it is actually officially announced by the U.P.
What is the big hurry anyway - are railfan egos so flawed that they really need the "Big Scoop" so bad, that they can justify reporting unsubstantiated claims - most of which prove out to be just so much rotted baloney anyway. Y'all are acting just like a bunch of media sharks.
As I said, it makes me laugh out loud. That is until I remember that the useless media news does the same phony, lazy, hurry up and get the "Scoop", never mind the facts, style of reporting (lying actually - remember Dan Blather's false report on Reagan's assassination - and even more recent falsehoods) He just couldn't wait until all the facts were in!
Since that circumstance is totally trashing America's ability to govern itself; NOW IT AIN'T SO FUNNY! -- But I suppose, it doesn't really matter what any railfan thinks anyway! So I guess I can just keep on laughing at y'all.
