Train 17 WP versus SP 102 in 1956

I just checked my official guide for 1956. WP #17 Cal Zepher took 8 hours to run Sac to Winnemucca leaving Sac at 1:30 PM and arriving Winn. at 9:32. SP #102 City of San francisco took 7 1/2 hours to make the same trip leaving Sac at 6:35 PM arriving Winnemuca at 2:03 AM 66 miles shorter. Question, do current stack trains through the FRC run from Roseville instead of turning at Haggin off the Cap-P? Do most FRC trains come off the Cal-P versus the original WP route through Stockton?
