By the way.......in the 1920's in pre-Greyhound days, SP/NWP and PMT offered a bus-train connection to tour the redwoods between Portland and SF in competion with whatever Pickwick Stages had on 101. You left the train in Grants Pass and motored down to Crescent City and Eureka...overnight in the Eureka Inn and day train to the Bay Area. Greyhound and the Depression ended that.
