Several years ago, I heard that Altamont Commuter Express was getting calls from folks who had moved in to new subdivisions on the south side of Tracy. They were asking when the tracks were finally going to be abandoned and were furious when told there were no plans for that.

See, it seems that some realtors had told new buyers the trains would be gone soon....
