The actual location of this unit during the time period you stated was at Radum(near Pleasanton, CA) on the former WP scale tracks by the former Kaiser Sand & Gravel Radum plant. At about 1990 or so the Pacific Locomotive Association(to whom this unit was donated to in 1983) had the SP move it to Oakland for storage on the Terminal Railway trackage(at the time of this movement it was temporarily located on what was left of the SP San Ramon branch). About five years ago, it was moved along with the other equipment PLA had stored from the Oakland Terminal Railway to the Niles Canyon Railway, where the WP 713 happily resides to this day and sees occasional operation.
