Last Larks north and south departed terminals on Sunday night, April 7th. I left work to be at the Sunnyvale depot Monday morning, April 8th, when the NB passed through, with (surprise) the chair cars on the rear. I'm retired now, so I can confess to some of my occasional departures from work to chase trains, from San Francisco (the New Orleans Daylight excursion) to Fremont (a CZ eastbound). Seeing that last Lark at Sunnyvale was very emotional for me, as the long consist reminded me of what had been.
