You might want to check out some other stores along The Alameda.
* Greenlee's Bakery. Excellent baked goods, including a cinnamon swirl loaf sold at their retail store, Zanatto's groceries and even some Costco stores. Alameda @ Race St.
* Crema Coffee Roasting Co, Alameda @ Morrison
Hannah's Coffee & Sweets, Alameda @ Wilson (I think that's where the old WP freight house used to be.)
* Peet's Coffee, Alameda @ Hanchett (across the corner from that ubiquitous Seattle-based coffee chain outlet.)
And check out the book, The Alameda - The Beautiful Way, written by Shannon Clark, a local writer. It's a good history of The Alameda in San Jose and is carried by some of the local merchants.
