I've been busily adding more of my collection to the website, even some UP stuff from the 50's and 60's.
UP Railroad Images The group of UP photos I have posted so far, are an interesting bunch. By chance, they cover from the Tacoma Union Station to McCarver St., about every half mile.
UP 3981 at Tacoma Union Station in 1950, bound for Seattle. Challengers were sometimes used on the Seattle-Portland trains. Here, caught by Frank Thompson, is 3981 at the head of Union Pacifics train #457.
Also added are a bunch of NP MOW, pile drivers, wrecking cranes, etc. and a few other things scattered around. Quite a few more historic photos of Tacoma are in this update. I'll be adding some of Dad's SP photos in the next week or so.
