I have never seen Climb an Angry Mountain, but I've read the basic plot a couple times. It involved a detective from New York City and a local sheriff clashing while tracking a native American fugitive. Some of the filming did take place on and around the McCloud River Railroad; however, this was happening during the time that the McCloud TV show was running, and to avoid legal difficulties the railroad had to reletter the depot and one of the SD38's to "McClone River".
