Bowler has worked tirelessly to preserve rail lines from being torn up, and has worked alongside the volunteers doing hard, physical work to support that effort. I know, because I've been there a few times myself. He's been the spark plug that has made things happen politically too, which most of us can't or won't do.
If we lose the AFRR line it's not for lack of trying, and all of us who put "sweat equity" into the line can be proud and glad for what we accomplished by extending the life of the line and enjoying the experience of running speeders there if only for a while. It serves no purpose to bad-mouth anyone at this point, least of all the head of RRC.
Anyway, from what John Barnhill says, maybe the fat lady hasn't sung yet.
