I am sorry I didn't make it in time to Winterail to go see any of the booths, especially yours, which I have stopped at every time Altamont had a booth!! I am in a wheelchair, and need someone to drive for me. This time, my driver was 2 hours late arriving at my house in Redding, CA, so we got there around 11:30, after most people were already seated!!
I have appreciated Altamont Press over the years, in the news/discussion boards, and ALL the timetables!! Before I ended up in the wheelchair, I drove a lot, all over the US, and elsewhere!! In the States, I always appreciated the timetables, for a HUGE help in areas I have never been!! Even in California, I have always used the most current Altamont Press timetable of CA!!
It will be sad to see Altamont Press go away!! I agree with you 100% that your family needs to come #1, in your priorities!! I wish you well in raising your family, and keeping close to your wife and children!!
If someone else(a railfan!!) would step up to the plate, that has time to devote to the business of Altamont Press, it would be a blessing for all of us, to continue on with the news, discussions, and timetables!! It certainly would release you first,to get back to your family and other responsibilities!! I do hope there might be someone who could take over your job(s) at Altamont Press!!
Again, Dave, and your family, thank you for taking all the time and money to produce the items Altamont Press has been doing through the years!! Especially thanks, for taking over when Rob was taken from us!!
I really do wish you a wonderful life after getting out of this overwhelming job you have been doing!!
