Well, there is a way to get the info out there. It won't solve Dave's business problems, in fact it would kill any remaining income, but then again, so will stopping publicatin.

You could publish the timetables in "Wiki" format, where folks can make changes and edits as needed. Of course the best known example is wikipedia.

Obviously there can be issues with incorrect info, or just plain malicious tampering, but there are ways to combat that issue, and if you have several folks who each keep an eye on their favorite area, it works fine.

It would still be a lot of work, but it could be done by a lot of people. It would be updated frequently, and errors could be quickly corrected.

The downside? Neither David or anyone else will be making any money from it, at least not from selling the info. He might generate some revenue from ads on the website.
