But wait, there's more. The other half of that flyover, connecting the tracks between the Bay Bridge and Oakland 16th Street, became a roadway to access the Oakland Army Base following the end of rail operation. That bridge was later replaced by the West Grand Avenue overpass in use today.
A section of the "Oakland" flyover exists to this day next to the "Berkeley" flyover geographically west of the UPRR yard. You can even see it on Google maps satellite view.
Both were double track. Today the OTR flyover is single track.
