The MRVMI can go either way from Elmhurst to Niles Jct, but via the Niles Sub is the normal route. It is up to the disptacher at the time. The MMIRV does not work in East Oakland, and normally goes via the Altamont.

There is still an amlost daily AGBMI that can be found on the Niles Sub, plus an every three days or so empty autorack out of Milpitas.

The MRVSJ sets out cars for the locals in Newark, and then heads on to San Jose. The cars there either go on to Watsonville via the LRQ83 Salinas or go to South San Francisco via the LRQ50 Misson Bay.

The lower yard in Warm Springs is now being used for storage of ARMN reefers.
