The highline is dark territory so a scanner is a must to listen for track warrants/mile post locations of the trains. Most crew changes take place near Quarry Rd. on the highline north of the wye. Train meets tend to be at Almanor (double track). 161.100 is definately the frequency you want, although a strong antenna is good to have as well. As far as a schedule of traffic. I generally see 1 or 2 trains in the late afternoon, one usually coming up the feather river canyon, but your guess is as good as mine. Hope that might help you out in the least bit. Happy chasing!
