At about the end of 2006, M&ET picked up the 2 SW1500's to replace some power they wrecked earlier in the year. This kinda got the ball rolling on eventual replacement of the venerable 70 tonners(going "green" not withstanding). The "cruds" were ex SP(2400 number series; forgot which actual #s). Before their transfer to the M&ET, they had previously worked for Vancouver Wharves(Canada).
