You might notice some photos of the CZ by Ted Benson and Richard Steinheimer in the California Adventure CZ. I think one of the shots is of the observation car of a detouring westbound CZ near Penryn. There is a Steinheimer shot of the front of the CZ detouring near Penryn in "Western Trains" (IIRC), with an SP unit leading because of SP's ATS system, and the shot at California Adventure looks like it would have been the going away photo of that one.
