While I can't advise you about the last question, I do know that there is no rail connection between the Sunset Limited and the Southwest Chief/RailRunner. The Bus is (sadly) your only option. If you are planning on riding the RailRunner and Santa Fe Southern, you might look into a package offered by the SFSR where you ride the RailRunner Up to Santa Fe, ride SFSR to Lamy, and ride Amtrak back to Albuquerque. I don't see this trip offered on the SFSR website, but last time I was in Albuquerque (December 09) the SFSR brochure I saw said that the SFSR will book all tickets for such a trip, and you pay only them. Something worth looking into.
