I totally agree with SLOCONDR on this. There is a job to do, not a photo run-by to set-up for. Here's a perfect example. Roughly 5 or 6 years ago my employer had a class of new hires in the terminal I work for. One of these individuals has worked for a model RR manufacturer and also is an avid foamer. While training, we noticed he wasn't paying much attention to the job at hand constantly needed reality checks.

When it came time for the conductor class finals, he failed. He admitted he never studied and also admitted that it was material that he "already knew." He's down the road.

I enjoy railroad history and enjoy seeing trains in my travels, but when I'm at work, it's just that. I have a job to do and I'm not going to put myself or anyone else at risk because I decided to stop and watch the train go by. I can do that off duty.
