A footnote on Safeco Field: to see a train you have to turn away from the action on the field,( not hard to do the way the M's are playing ) and look out behind the center field seats. The tracks are very near the back of the stadium & cannot be seen while seated. Train horns can often be heard on radio & TV broadcasts.
A footnote on Anaheim Stadium: In the 1970's the Santa Fe's Night Coast, from Hobart to San Diego, would pass behind center field between 8 & 9PM. Power was usually GP-30/GP-35's.
