I have one already mentioned, Anaheim Stadium. When I was a teen in the 60s, where today there is a multi-laned entry off of Katella, in 1966-67, it was a small turn off into the dirt against the Santa Fe tracks. My mom would drop us off here, and we'd walk over the Santa Fe tracks, across the parking lot, buy a $2.50 reserved seat ticket, go to the upper deck and watch the game. I would bring my dad's binoculars along, and as the San Diegans passed, I could read the unit numbers off of the side of the PAs. Wow. That was 44 years ago.
There have been references here to major and minor league stadiums, but when it comes to my favorite baseball venues - college, I can think of two college baseball stadiums that you can watch baseball and trains going by. At my own local university, Sacramento State, the baseball park is right across one of the campus roads from the SP/UP Valley main just south from Elvas. The other is from my own Alma Mater, the 2006 and 2007 College World Series champions, Oregon State University, where Goss Stadium, in the same location since 1907, where out over the outfield fence is the old SP Toledo Branch where Willamette and Pacific trains pass each day.
BTW, if you haven't attended a college baseball game, I highly recommend it.
