I wanted to log onto your show, Skip, but it takes too much info. I'm busy otherwise on Sat. so will miss you show, but my comment:
We've become too much of a nervous nelly nation in this regard. Most railfans (quote most) are responsible, respectful of rail property and are in fact first lines of defense to vandalism, trespassing, etc. I carry my BNSF call contact card, and am registered with them (being the most prominent railroad in my neck of the woods). I don't think that terrorists are too much focused on railroads per se, but that could change, as the world situation does every day. But let us remember why we live in the US - generally an open society, free to travel, without needing ID cards, or to justify why we are where we are when we are. Let's not lose that.
