Hello everyone. It looks like nothing has been done in quite sometime about 2921. I am looking to get information on what was done to move it and restore it. It seemed the city did not want to let it out of Modesto. With that said I own just over 40 acres of land about 4 miles from the locomotives location. I would be willing to bulldoze quite a few acres of producing trees to get the loco out of that park where it is being demolished by the homeless and the elements. I would be willing to at the minimum build a pole barn to shelter it but wouldn't be against dozing more trees to lay track and make it operational depending on if any grants or financial backers would be interested. I'm sure with the power of the Internet plenty of people would be willing to help. Maybe the City would agree since it keeps it in Modesto. It's a sad shame to see the history of that loco just rusting away. Any constructive help is appreciated.
