We've shipped ore and scrap steel to Asia before - this is not new at all.

In fact; back in the thirties, we sent much of it to Japan. In the forties, the Japanese SHOT it all back at us.

In post modern America, we're again sending to Asia - this time China. I hope they don't shoot it all back too - history does have a knack of repeating itself in very unpleasant ways.


As to this obscene notion that there is any work that Americans won't do; it is just plain bullbleep. Americans are willing to work, but just try to get a job when all your potential employers believe you (as an American) will actually expect a livable wage and the dignity due any common man. The only way American workers will ever manage to compete with slaves in China is to become slaves themselves.

Same problem with unlawful immigrants. You cannot compete with those accepting sub-standard or slave wages, unless you accept them too. And as long as our gov't permits this obscene dual class society (citizens vs illegals), potential employers will continue to profile Americans as unwilling workers, continue to pay second class wages to second class citizens, continue to abuse them, and continue to lobby for non-interference with unlawful immigration.

I personally have had quite enough of that!
