This is a 2-8-0 with 50 or 51 inch drivers as compared to 2472's 73" drivers. It was
ordered new from Alco for the MA & was a great fit to their profile. She has been in
Texas for some years...I know another reader here can supply a better history after she
left the Magma.
Drew, another really fine pair of images...I was there just two months prior to you and
the 5 was getting an overhaul. I never did see her run, only the 7. She was just a little
longer legged than the 5 and could get out & do 30 or better.
