I live in La Grande; the crew base between Nampa and Hinkle. Most all crews going east are now La Grande based. Stacked up cars maybe means they were that way after the temporary cleanup crew got done.
The local La Grande paper carried a news item on the event. News here because of the crew base. Baker City's paper is now only 3 days per week. Also there is a weekly out of Baker City that likely carried a story.
