The large white snow cowling over the front radiator grille will be removed and replaced with a conventional screen-type; the front trainline will be re-routed so the air can be cut in from the engineers side ("switcher style") and the snowplows will most likely be removed and replaced with straight steel pilots.

Certain electrical modifications will be completed (removal of alertor and deadman pedal) as well as removal of the old "Micor" radio and installation of a "clean cab" version. Unit is equipped with "Smart Start" which will be upgraded for cellphone activation so the unit can be started by the crew while enroute to their on-duty location.

The top of the hoods will be painted black as will the bell and exhaust stacks and standard OPR graphics applied.
