No. GMD offered a steam generator as a option on GMD1s, but the only GMD1s with steam generators were the 18 that were built with B-B trucks (CN 1900-1917). Like the majority of the GMD1s, this one was built as a lightweight branchline unit with A1A-A1A trucks and no steam generator. CN converted it to B-B by using Flexicoil trucks from its lightweight GP9s that were rebuilt with regular Blombergs.
