The rail link was in use to around 1999 or so just before I was stationed there. The last motive power they had was a trackmobile and before that an EMD switcher of some sort. The rail operations fell under the 60th Transportation Squadron, Traffic Management Office (TMO)and from what I remember it was bulk supplies shipped in at the end of its operations. Tracks didn't go anywhere near fuel storage so there wasn't any of that sort of shipments.

In the couple of times I paid attention to the rail line I never saw cars come in or go off the base but I can tell you it would be during Monday-Friday business hours.

Don't try the Travis.mil link; no one is left that remembers the rail operations. The only dealings with rail operations now at Travis is the status of the crossing of the SN (now belonging to WRM) at the back gate.
