I understood it to be 7 days paid after the recall, but that you have up to the 30 days total to report, altough it is all unpaid after the initial 7 day recall period. Is this not the case?
Also, remember to immediately put in a claim for the 7 paid days after you are recalled. They will stop the reserve board pay as of the day you are recalled. I just had an engineer work with me who had been recalled in August and found that one out the hard way. They only paid the first 3 days of the half when he was still on the reserve board. The 7 paid days of the recall period were not paid automatically, and he didn't find out until payday came on the 25th. Nothing like having to wait a couple extra weeks for your money.
