That is definitely true, or so I was told when I got a tour of the MP facility. One thing I wounder, is since EMD is now owned by CAT, does that mean MP can't use EMD components anymore? When I got my tour last November (09), I was told that for the HEP generators on the MP36's were going from CAT motors to cummins diesels because CAT had bought one of MP's competitors (I think NRE) and wasn't going to supply MP anymore. Perhaps the same is true for EMD parts as well?
