It was my understanding that any motorcars operating under the rules of these groups had to have a USFS approved spark arrestor. Long before organized clubs got going, that was considered good practice...mine had one. A friend told me that he was ticketed years ago while driving through a National Forest with the motorcar on a trailer behind. Even though he had no intention of using it there, he still fell under their rules.
