These environmental extremists might be surprised to learn (if in fact they are capable of learning anything) that the restored Virginia and Truckee Railroad in Nevada uses speeders (operated by voulunteers) for fire-watch behind their steam locomotives. I think what we are seeing is a familiar tactic of desperate activist groups to mix any brand of fear into an otherwise benign subject, in order to polarize less knowledgeable citizens into supporting their pet crusade of negativism.

May they stagger under the weight of their ignorance.
